Guy Pearce, Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun) and excellent newcomer Vincent Miller all deliver powerhouse performances in this taut and intelligent prison drama. When Mel is transferred from juvenile to adult prison he is taken under the wing of Mark Shepard (Australia's most notorious criminal and born-again Christian) and the older Warren, who is soon set to be paroled. Trying to pay his own debts Warren soon recruits Mel to kill Mark, who has a contract on his head. But the plan does not go smoothly. This strange trio each grapple with their own inner conflicts in the hope of finding deliverance from their terrible pasts and future crimes. Who, if anyone, can be saved?
